# Victory Shield vs Shepherd

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Shepherd at 100% against Victory Shield's 27%. Shepherd also leads on update cadence (every 8 days vs every 5 weeks) and rating (4.6 vs 4.3). Victory Shield's advantage is ratings volume (60K vs 11) and chart position (#42 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Victory Shield sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month and Shepherd sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shepherd holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Victory Shield has 60K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 27% of Victory Shield's written reviews are positive against 100% of Shepherd's.

Victory Shield ships an update every 5 weeks, Shepherd every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
