# Pure GPS vs Seeker

The clearest difference is rating: Seeker at 4.6 against Pure GPS's 4.3. Pure GPS's advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (100 vs 25). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Seeker holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 100 and 25 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 74% of Pure GPS's written reviews are positive against 72% of Seeker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pure GPS ships an update monthly, Seeker every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
