The clearest difference is price: Backgammon ∙ at Free against Backgammon 16 Games's $2.99. Backgammon ∙ also leads on ratings volume (78K vs 48) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). Backgammon 16 Games's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.6). On review sentiment, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Backgammon ∙ is free to download; Backgammon 16 Games costs $2.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Backgammon ∙ holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Backgammon ∙ has 78K ratings behind it against 48, so its average is the more settled of the two.
