# GameFly vs Collector

The clearest difference is rating: GameFly at 4.7 against Collector's 3.7. GameFly also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ratings volume (9.9K vs 18). Collector's advantage is review sentiment (53% vs 37%) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 15.0). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Collector sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. GameFly asks for nothing beyond the download.

GameFly holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GameFly has 9.9K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 37% of GameFly's written reviews are positive against 53% of Collector's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GameFly ships an update every 3 weeks, Collector every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
