# Eye Handbook vs OptiExpert™

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Eye Handbook at 82% against OptiExpert™'s 22%. Eye Handbook also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 7). OptiExpert™'s advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Eye Handbook holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Eye Handbook has 1.2K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 82% of Eye Handbook's written reviews are positive against 22% of OptiExpert™'s.

Eye Handbook ships an update every 3 weeks, OptiExpert™ every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
