# WordPress vs Skool

The clearest difference is monetization model: Skool at free against WordPress's free with in-app purchases. Skool also leads on iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). WordPress's advantage is review sentiment (37% vs 14%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
