# Opera vs Bubbu

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Bubbu at 100% against Opera's 50%. Bubbu also leads on rating (5.0 vs 3.1). Opera's advantage is ratings volume (50 vs 4) and update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bubbu holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Opera has 50 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of Opera's written reviews are positive against 100% of Bubbu's.

Opera ships an update every 5 weeks, Bubbu every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
