# New Year Countdown vs Coin Flip+

The clearest difference is price: Coin Flip+ at Free against New Year Countdown's $0.99. Coin Flip+ also leads on rating (3.6 vs 3.0) and iOS requirement (6.0 vs 17.0). New Year Countdown's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 68%) and update cadence (every 10 months vs every 21 months). On ratings volume, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Coin Flip+ is free to download; New Year Countdown costs $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Coin Flip+ holds the better App Store score, 3.6 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 5 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of New Year Countdown's written reviews are positive against 68% of Coin Flip+'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

New Year Countdown ships an update every 10 months, Coin Flip+ every 21 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
