# Logos Bible vs Scriptur

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Logos Bible at 177K against Scriptur's 4. Logos Bible also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly) and chart position (#52 vs unranked). Scriptur's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 81%) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Logos Bible sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Scriptur sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Logos Bible against 4.8 for Scriptur. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Logos Bible has 177K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 81% of Logos Bible's written reviews are positive against 100% of Scriptur's.

Logos Bible ships an update every 2 weeks, Scriptur monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
