# iMathematics vs PDF Watch Viewer

The clearest difference is rating: PDF Watch Viewer at 4.6 against iMathematics's 3.5. PDF Watch Viewer also leads on ratings volume (378 vs 34). iMathematics's advantage is review sentiment (73% vs 34%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iMathematics sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and PDF Watch Viewer sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Watch Viewer holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Watch Viewer has 378 ratings behind it against 34, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 73% of iMathematics's written reviews are positive against 34% of PDF Watch Viewer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iMathematics ships an update every 10 days, PDF Watch Viewer every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
