# Drum Kits vs BeatLab

The clearest difference is ads: Drum Kits at none against BeatLab's shown. Drum Kits also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.6). BeatLab's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 101 months). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drum Kits sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and BeatLab sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drum Kits ships an update every 101 months, BeatLab fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
