# Drum Kits vs Windy

The clearest difference is update cadence: Windy at monthly against Drum Kits's every 101 months. Windy also leads on iOS requirement (11.3 vs 15.6). Drum Kits's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Drum Kits sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Windy sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Drum Kits ships an update every 101 months, Windy monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
