# Khromax vs Super Melon

The clearest difference is ads: Khromax at none against Super Melon's shown. Khromax also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Super Melon's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 37 months) and ratings volume (22 vs 4). On price, rating, review sentiment and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Khromax against 4.7 for Super Melon. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Super Melon has 22 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

Khromax ships an update every 37 months, Super Melon every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on June 5, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
