# Livedrive vs EQ® Connect

The clearest difference is monetization model: EQ® Connect at free against Livedrive's subscription. EQ® Connect also leads on update cadence (every 11 days vs every 6 weeks) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Livedrive's advantage is ratings volume (60 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EQ® Connect holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Livedrive has 60 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Livedrive ships an update every 6 weeks, EQ® Connect every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
