# Livedrive vs PieCloud

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PieCloud at 100% against Livedrive's 23%. PieCloud also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Livedrive's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (60 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PieCloud sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per year. Livedrive asks for nothing beyond the download.

PieCloud holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Livedrive has 60 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 23% of Livedrive's written reviews are positive against 100% of PieCloud's.

Livedrive ships an update every 6 weeks, PieCloud every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
