# Livedrive vs MiMedia

The clearest difference is monetization model: MiMedia at free against Livedrive's subscription. MiMedia also leads on review sentiment (60% vs 23%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). Livedrive's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (60 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Livedrive holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Livedrive has 60 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of Livedrive's written reviews are positive against 60% of MiMedia's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Livedrive ships an update every 6 weeks, MiMedia every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
