# Werewolf Locator vs Ghost detector

The clearest difference is rating: Werewolf Locator at 4.7 against Ghost detector's 3.0. Werewolf Locator also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 3) and ratings volume (970 vs 2). Ghost detector's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 4 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 84%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ghost detector sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.49 per 7 days. Werewolf Locator asks for nothing beyond the download.

Werewolf Locator holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Werewolf Locator has 970 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Werewolf Locator's written reviews are positive against 100% of Ghost detector's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Werewolf Locator ships an update every 4 months, Ghost detector weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
