# Cookpad Recipes vs Picks（ピックス）

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Picks（ピックス） at none against Cookpad Recipes's 13. Picks（ピックス） also leads on ads (none vs shown). Cookpad Recipes's advantage is ratings volume (4.3K vs 1) and update cadence (weekly vs monthly). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cookpad Recipes sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per 7 days. Picks（ピックス） asks for nothing beyond the download.

Picks（ピックス） holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cookpad Recipes has 4.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Cookpad Recipes's written reviews are positive against 60% of Picks（ピックス）'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cookpad Recipes ships an update weekly, Picks（ピックス） monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
