# Cookpad Recipes vs CakeCuttin

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CakeCuttin at none against Cookpad Recipes's 10. CakeCuttin also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.0). Cookpad Recipes's advantage is review sentiment (80% vs 50%) and ratings volume (4.4K vs 4). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cookpad Recipes sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per 7 days. CakeCuttin asks for nothing beyond the download.

CakeCuttin holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cookpad Recipes has 4.4K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 80% of Cookpad Recipes's written reviews are positive against 50% of CakeCuttin's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Cookpad Recipes ships an update weekly, CakeCuttin every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
