# Garmin Pilot vs StormSITREP

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: StormSITREP at none against Garmin Pilot's 18. StormSITREP also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (16.4 vs 18.0). Garmin Pilot's advantage is ratings volume (4.1K vs 1) and chart position (#50 vs unranked). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Garmin Pilot sells 18 one-off in-app purchases. StormSITREP asks for nothing beyond the download.

StormSITREP holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Garmin Pilot has 4.1K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
