# Banjo Tuner vs Project

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Banjo Tuner at none against Project's 1. Banjo Tuner also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Project's advantage is update cadence (every 3 days vs every 15 months). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Project sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Banjo Tuner asks for nothing beyond the download.

Banjo Tuner ships an update every 15 months, Project every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
