# WMAL vs AM 920 The Answer

The clearest difference is rating: WMAL at 4.5 against AM 920 The Answer's 3.8. WMAL also leads on ratings volume (1.5K vs 12). AM 920 The Answer's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

WMAL holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WMAL has 1.5K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of WMAL's written reviews are positive against 30% of AM 920 The Answer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WMAL ships an update every 2 months, AM 920 The Answer every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 5, 2026.
