# WMAL vs KSEV Radio

The clearest difference is ads: KSEV Radio at none against WMAL's shown. KSEV Radio also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months). WMAL's advantage is ratings volume (1.5K vs 1) and review sentiment (23% vs 14%). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

KSEV Radio holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WMAL has 1.5K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 23% of WMAL's written reviews are positive against 14% of KSEV Radio's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WMAL ships an update every 2 months, KSEV Radio every 8 days. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
