# Notable Quotes vs Quotes Folder

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Quotes Folder at none against Notable Quotes's 3. Quotes Folder also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 26.6). Notable Quotes's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (82% vs 70%). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notable Quotes sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Quotes Folder asks for nothing beyond the download.

Quotes Folder holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notable Quotes has 18 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 82% of Notable Quotes's written reviews are positive against 70% of Quotes Folder's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Notable Quotes ships an update every 3 months, Quotes Folder every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and September 29, 2026 respectively.
