# iGolf vs Golf GPS++

The clearest difference is rating: Golf GPS++ at 4.6 against iGolf's 4.1. Golf GPS++ also leads on ratings volume (4.7K vs 16) and device support (3 vs 1). iGolf's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3) and review sentiment (51% vs 43%). On price, update cadence, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Golf GPS++ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. iGolf asks for nothing beyond the download.

Golf GPS++ holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Golf GPS++ has 4.7K ratings behind it against 16, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of iGolf's written reviews are positive against 43% of Golf GPS++'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iGolf ships an update every 2 months, Golf GPS++ every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
