# BeenVerified vs BimmerRefs

The clearest difference is price: BeenVerified at Free against BimmerRefs's $3.99. BeenVerified also leads on rating (4.6 vs 3.9) and ratings volume (38K vs 7). BimmerRefs's advantage is review sentiment (57% vs 21%) and in-app purchases (none vs 10). On update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

BeenVerified is free to download; BimmerRefs costs $3.99 up front. BeenVerified sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. BimmerRefs asks for nothing beyond the download.

BeenVerified holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BeenVerified has 38K ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of BeenVerified's written reviews are positive against 57% of BimmerRefs's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BeenVerified ships an update every 3 weeks, BimmerRefs every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
