# RC Plane vs FishPond

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: FishPond at none against RC Plane's 5. FishPond also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (70% vs 50%). RC Plane's advantage is ratings volume (2.4K vs 17) and iOS requirement (3.0 vs 18.0). On price, rating, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RC Plane sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. FishPond asks for nothing beyond the download.

FishPond holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RC Plane has 2.4K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of RC Plane's written reviews are positive against 70% of FishPond's.

RC Plane ships an update every 2 months, FishPond fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
