# iDesign vs OrthoGraph

iDesign and OrthoGraph both sit at 2.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 50% of iDesign's written reviews are positive against 13% of OrthoGraph's. iDesign also leads on ratings volume (87 vs 9). OrthoGraph's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iDesign sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and OrthoGraph sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iDesign holds the better App Store score, 2.6 against 2.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iDesign has 87 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 50% of iDesign's written reviews are positive against 13% of OrthoGraph's.

iDesign ships an update every 3 months, OrthoGraph every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
