# iDesign vs Morpholio Journal

The clearest difference is rating: Morpholio Journal at 4.5 against iDesign's 2.6. Morpholio Journal also leads on ratings volume (764 vs 87) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iDesign sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and Morpholio Journal sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Morpholio Journal holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Morpholio Journal has 764 ratings behind it against 87, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of iDesign's written reviews are positive against 49% of Morpholio Journal's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iDesign ships an update every 3 months, Morpholio Journal every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
