# SWISS vs ZVV

The clearest difference is monetization model: SWISS at free against ZVV's free with in-app purchases. SWISS also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 225) and review sentiment (49% vs 31%). ZVV's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for SWISS against 4.6 for ZVV. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SWISS has 12K ratings behind it against 225, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 49% of SWISS's written reviews are positive against 31% of ZVV's.

SWISS ships an update fortnightly, ZVV weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
