# QuickContact vs Shortcut for Contacts

The clearest difference is rating: Shortcut for Contacts at 4.5 against QuickContact's 3.9. Shortcut for Contacts also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (302 vs 28). QuickContact's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (65% vs 39%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QuickContact sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Shortcut for Contacts sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Shortcut for Contacts holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Shortcut for Contacts has 302 ratings behind it against 28, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 65% of QuickContact's written reviews are positive against 39% of Shortcut for Contacts's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

QuickContact ships an update every 3 months, Shortcut for Contacts every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
