# DB Navigator vs VBB Bus & Bahn

The clearest difference is rating: DB Navigator at 4.6 against VBB Bus & Bahn's 1.9. DB Navigator also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (17K vs 20). VBB Bus & Bahn's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 31%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

DB Navigator holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DB Navigator has 17K ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 31% of DB Navigator's written reviews are positive against 50% of VBB Bus & Bahn's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DB Navigator ships an update fortnightly, VBB Bus & Bahn every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
