# DB Navigator vs Velociped Guide

DB Navigator and Velociped Guide both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Velociped Guide's written reviews are positive against 31% of DB Navigator's. Velociped Guide also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). DB Navigator's advantage is ratings volume (16K vs 2) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for DB Navigator against 4.5 for Velociped Guide. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DB Navigator has 16K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 31% of DB Navigator's written reviews are positive against 100% of Velociped Guide's.

DB Navigator ships an update fortnightly, Velociped Guide every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
