# Serre Chevalier vs Valmeinier

The clearest difference is rating: Valmeinier at 5.0 against Serre Chevalier's 4.6. Serre Chevalier's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (76% vs 60%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Valmeinier holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Serre Chevalier has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 76% of Serre Chevalier's written reviews are positive against 60% of Valmeinier's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Serre Chevalier ships an update every 9 days, Valmeinier every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
