# Kounters vs Hyper

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Kounters at 100% against Hyper's 43%. Kounters also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.2) and in-app purchases (none vs 1). Hyper's advantage is price (Free vs $0.99) and update cadence (daily vs every 7 months). On ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Hyper is free to download; Kounters costs $0.99 up front. Hyper sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Kounters asks for nothing beyond the download.

Kounters holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hyper has 17 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Kounters's written reviews are positive against 43% of Hyper's.

Kounters ships an update every 7 months, Hyper daily. Both last shipped on September 30, 2026.
