# OPlayer vs Liquid Player

The clearest difference is price: Liquid Player at Free against OPlayer's $2.99. Liquid Player also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (78% vs 70%). OPlayer's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (961 vs 67). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Liquid Player is free to download; OPlayer costs $2.99 up front. OPlayer sells 5 one-off in-app purchases and Liquid Player sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

OPlayer holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: OPlayer has 961 ratings behind it against 67, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of OPlayer's written reviews are positive against 78% of Liquid Player's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OPlayer ships an update every 2 months, Liquid Player weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
