# Powertime vs Potatso

The clearest difference is rating: Powertime at 5.0 against Potatso's 4.4. Powertime also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). Potatso's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (6.1K vs 6). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Potatso sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per year. Powertime asks for nothing beyond the download.

Powertime holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Potatso has 6.1K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Powertime's written reviews are positive against 58% of Potatso's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Powertime ships an update every 3 months, Potatso fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
