# Camera Plus Pro vs The Simple Camera

The clearest difference is price: The Simple Camera at Free against Camera Plus Pro's $0.99. The Simple Camera also leads on rating (4.5 vs 2.7) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months). Camera Plus Pro's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and ads (none vs shown). On review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

The Simple Camera is free to download; Camera Plus Pro costs $0.99 up front. The Simple Camera sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Camera Plus Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

The Simple Camera holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: The Simple Camera has 206 ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 57% of Camera Plus Pro's written reviews are positive against 55% of The Simple Camera's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
