# OYEZ vs BARBRI

The clearest difference is rating: BARBRI at 4.6 against OYEZ's 3.8. BARBRI also leads on ratings volume (2.9K vs 166). OYEZ's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 17%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BARBRI holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: BARBRI has 2.9K ratings behind it against 166, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of OYEZ's written reviews are positive against 17% of BARBRI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

OYEZ ships an update every 3 months, BARBRI every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
