# iGeneration vs iDB app

The clearest difference is rating: iGeneration at 4.7 against iDB app's 3.9. iGeneration also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and device support (4 vs 2). iDB app's advantage is review sentiment (64% vs 55%) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.6). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iGeneration sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month and iDB app sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iGeneration holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 54 and 79 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 55% of iGeneration's written reviews are positive against 64% of iDB app's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iGeneration ships an update every 4 days, iDB app every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
