# Zotz! vs Pyramid

The clearest difference is rating: Zotz! at 5.0 against Pyramid's 4.4. Zotz! also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Pyramid's advantage is ratings volume (296 vs 4) and review sentiment (84% vs 67%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Zotz! holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pyramid has 296 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of Zotz!'s written reviews are positive against 84% of Pyramid's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Zotz! ships an update every 11 months, Pyramid every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
