# iCamViewer vs Altec Smart 2

The clearest difference is rating: Altec Smart 2 at 4.5 against iCamViewer's 3.1. Altec Smart 2 also leads on ratings volume (442 vs 35) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 14.0). iCamViewer's advantage is review sentiment (28% vs 20%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Altec Smart 2 holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Altec Smart 2 has 442 ratings behind it against 35, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 28% of iCamViewer's written reviews are positive against 20% of Altec Smart 2's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
