# Kwanzaa vs Trusted Herd

The clearest difference is ads: Kwanzaa at none against Trusted Herd's shown. Kwanzaa also leads on review sentiment (94% vs 70%) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Trusted Herd's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (14K vs 87). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Trusted Herd holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Trusted Herd has 14K ratings behind it against 87, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 94% of Kwanzaa's written reviews are positive against 70% of Trusted Herd's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Kwanzaa ships an update every 10 months, Trusted Herd weekly. Both last shipped on November 6, 2026.
