# TV24 vs Index.hu

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Index.hu at none against TV24's 1. Index.hu also leads on rating (4.5 vs 4.1) and ratings volume (318 vs 18). TV24's advantage is review sentiment (63% vs 32%). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TV24 sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month. Index.hu asks for nothing beyond the download.

Index.hu holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Index.hu has 318 ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of TV24's written reviews are positive against 32% of Index.hu's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TV24 ships an update every 5 weeks, Index.hu fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 20, 2026 respectively.
