# Sound Touch vs Sounds Essentials

The clearest difference is price: Sounds Essentials at Free against Sound Touch's $19.99. Sounds Essentials also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs every 3 weeks) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). Sound Touch's advantage is rating (4.4 vs 1.0) and ratings volume (10 vs 1). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Sounds Essentials is free to download; Sound Touch costs $19.99 up front. Sound Touch sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Sounds Essentials sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
