# 8x8 Work vs Time Voice App

The clearest difference is rating: Time Voice App at 5.0 against 8x8 Work's 3.8. Time Voice App also leads on monetization model (free vs subscription). 8x8 Work's advantage is review sentiment (50% vs 13%) and update cadence (monthly vs every 7 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Time Voice App holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 8x8 Work has 8.7K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of 8x8 Work's written reviews are positive against 13% of Time Voice App's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

8x8 Work ships an update monthly, Time Voice App every 7 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
