# Mental Note Lite ๛ vs MyNotes

The clearest difference is ads: MyNotes at none against Mental Note Lite ๛'s shown. MyNotes also leads on ratings volume (46 vs 2) and rating (4.7 vs 4.5). Mental Note Lite ๛'s advantage is review sentiment (58% vs 40%). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mental Note Lite ๛ sells 8 one-off in-app purchases and MyNotes sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $14.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MyNotes holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyNotes has 46 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Mental Note Lite ๛'s written reviews are positive against 40% of MyNotes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Mental Note Lite ๛ ships an update every 5 months, MyNotes every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
