# Barricade vs Auto Agent

The clearest difference is rating: Auto Agent at 4.9 against Barricade's 4.3. Auto Agent also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 16 months) and ratings volume (42K vs 3). Barricade's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6) and review sentiment (88% vs 75%). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Auto Agent sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Barricade asks for nothing beyond the download.

Auto Agent holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Auto Agent has 42K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of Barricade's written reviews are positive against 75% of Auto Agent's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Barricade ships an update every 16 months, Auto Agent every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
