# Countdown by timeanddate.com vs Countdown@

The clearest difference is rating: Countdown@ at 4.7 against Countdown by timeanddate.com's 2.9. Countdown@ also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (39K vs 125). Countdown by timeanddate.com's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (56% vs 37%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown by timeanddate.com sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Countdown@ sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown@ holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown@ has 39K ratings behind it against 125, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Countdown by timeanddate.com's written reviews are positive against 37% of Countdown@'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Countdown by timeanddate.com ships an update every 2 months, Countdown@ every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on September 5, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
