# Countdown by timeanddate.com vs Countdown ™

The clearest difference is rating: Countdown ™ at 4.4 against Countdown by timeanddate.com's 2.9. Countdown ™ also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months). Countdown by timeanddate.com's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (56% vs 42%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown by timeanddate.com sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Countdown ™ sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Countdown ™ holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.9. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 125 and 180 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of Countdown by timeanddate.com's written reviews are positive against 42% of Countdown ™'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Countdown by timeanddate.com ships an update every 2 months, Countdown ™ every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 5, 2026 and September 1, 2026 respectively.
